MEMPHIS, Tenn. (AP) - The Memphis Grizzlies have added an assistant coach from the China Basketball Association.
Barry Hecker is a former scout, assistant coach and director of player personnel with the Los Angeles Clippers. He was with the Jiangsu Nangang Dragons during the Chinese league's 2008 playoffs.His move to Memphis was announced Tuesday by Grizzlies general manager Chris Wallace.
Hecker was with the Las Vegas Bandits of the International Basketball League for two seasons as an assistant in 2000-01 under Lionel Hollins, the Grizzlies' new coach.
