INSIDE THE NUMBERS

Griz starting point guard Kyle Lowry is averaging 18.5 points, 3 rebounds and 5 assists in last two games. Rudy Gay has averaged 24 points on 53 percent shooting in the first two meetings with Utah, while rookie O.J. Mayo has averaged 22.5 points on 50 percent shooting in those games. Memphis, though, is 3-16 against teams with winning records and 0-14 this season when failing to reach 20 points in the first quarter. As for the Jazz, their defense slips on the road. Utah is holding opponents to 95.5 points at home but giving up 101.4 on the road.

THE SKINNY

Memphis is on a four-game losing streak and has lost 12 of the past 14 games. The Grizzlies have failed to score 90 points and have not held more than a one-point lead during the skid. Utah is looking to end a five-game road skid. The Jazz shot 42.2 percent Wednesday night in a 114-93 loss to the league-worst Oklahoma City Thunder. The Jazz still lead the all-time series against the Griz with a 38-12 record. Veteran Quinton Ross (back spasms) and rookie Darrell Arthur (hamstring) are day-to-day for the Grizzlies.

THE QUOTE

"We get on the road and I don't know, we feel like we can't win. I don't know what it is." - Jazz point guard Deron Williams on the team's road woes.
