Golden State (2-3) is known for running a high-scoring, up-tempo offense, but it never got in gear in Memphis (2-3). The Warriors' seven-game winning streak over the Grizzlies ended Monday, as they shot 34.4 percent from the floor and were 3-of-20 from 3-point range in a 90-79 defeat.

Golden State averaged 106.8 points on 44.4 percent shooting in its other four games.

Stephen Jackson and Al Harrington never found their rhythm against Memphis, as Jackson finished with 17 points on 6-of-21 shooting and Harrington had six points on 3-of-15 from the floor.

Jackson rebounded from Monday's loss with 29 points and seven assists in Wednesday's 111-101 win over Denver. Kelenna Azubuike added 22 points and eight rebounds and fellow reserve Brandan Wright scored a career-high 18 points.

While his team appears to be back on track offensively, Warriors coach Don Nelson doesn't seem eager to play Harrington, who's hoping to be traded. While Golden State tries to work out a deal for Harrington, who started and scored three points in 15 minutes Wednesday, it appears Wright's playing time will increase.

"Al wants to be traded and everybody knows that. We'd like to oblige him," Nelson said. "He's playing like he's unhappy. ... We might as well begin making that change now. Brandan is ready to play more. He's going to be a member of our team and Al isn't.

"I'm not just going to play guys and give them gifts. They have to earn their way onto the court. ... Pretty simple stuff."

While Golden State managed to bounce back from Monday's defeat, the Grizzlies followed up their win over the Warriors with a disappointing effort.

Memphis lost to Sacramento 100-95 on Wednesday, as the Kings shot 52.7 percent from the floor. The Grizzlies allowed an average of 85.3 points and 37.5 percent shooting in their first four games.

"(Our defense) was softer tonight than it has been," Memphis coach Marc Iavaroni said. "It had been very good. We can't worry about one end and not pick it up on the other end."

Although they struggled defensively, O.J. Mayo kept the Grizzlies in the game by scoring a career-high 28 points and shooting 6-of-10 from 3-point range. Mayo, the No. 3 overall pick in this year's draft, had 13 points in Monday's win.

Marc Gasol, one of three rookies starting for Memphis along with Mayo and Darrell Arthur, had 27 points on 9-of-11 shooting and grabbed 16 boards against the Warriors.

The Grizzlies, who opened a four-game trip Wednesday, are 0-3 on the road this season and have dropped 25 of 29 away from Memphis. They've lost four straight in Oakland.
