Memphis Grizzlies Notes, Quotes 2008-11-04

--The Grizzlies are off to a 2-0 start at home for the first time in the history of the franchise.

--The win snapped a seven-game losing streak against Golden State.

--Coach Marc Iavaroni set a few small goals for his players Monday night, and they accomplished a couple. "We wanted to get off to a good start, and we passed that test," Iavaroni said. "We wanted momentum going into halftime, and we passed that test. We wanted to start the third quarter quickly, and we didn't pass that test." Iavaroni said he's trying to solidify his playing rotation. There are some veterans he wants to play, but he doesn't know if he can find them the minutes.

--Monday's home crowd wasn't huge at 10,121, but it was loud, just like in Friday's home opener against the Magic. "It seems like night and day compared to last year," second-year point guard Mike Conley said. "The fans are very interactive, and they are juicing us up."

QUOTE TO NOTE: "We want to play everybody tough at home, and teams who've come in before haven't had to deal with that." -- F Rudy Gay on the team's 2-0 record at home.
