--The Grizzlies have lost 10 of their past 12 games. Memphis has not beaten a winning team on the road this season.
--Portland fans are still mad at Memphis reserve Darius Miles, a former Blazer. He was thoroughly booed Saturday, because when he signed with the Grizzlies this year and played more than 10 games for them, the $18 million remaining on his contract came back on Portland's books to count against the Trail Blazers' salary cap. --Portland's Greg Oden and Memphis' Mike Conley, teammates on Ohio State's 2007 team that lost to Florida in the NCAA title game and teammates at Lawrence North High School in Indianapolis, finally played against each other as pros. Oden, who missed all of last year due to injuries, also missed Portland's first two games this season against the Griz.
--The Grizzlies are 8-10 in the last 18 meetings with the Trail Blazers but have not won a game in the series since March 29, 2007.
--Memphis went 0-for-8 from 3-point range and got outrebounded 50-28.
QUOTE TO NOTE: "You've got to be stronger with the ball and you've got to expect people to be around you when you catch it in a crowd. It's about making better decisions and having better ball movement." -- Grizzlies coach Lionel Hollins, on his team's lack of physical and mental toughness.
