Memphis Grizzlies Roster Report 2009-11-20

Memphis Grizzlies Roster Report 2009-11-20ROTATION: Starters -- Point guard Mike Conley, Shooting guard O.J. Mayo, Small forward Rudy Gay, Power forward Zach Randolph, Center Marc Gasol. Bench -- forward DeMarre Carroll, guard Sam Young, guard Marcus Williams, forward Stephen Hunter, point guard Jamaal Tinsley, center Hamed Haddadi, center Hasheem Thabeet.

PLAYER NOTES:

--G Jamaal Tinsley, 31, signed on Saturday, practiced Monday and Tuesday, and played just 6:20 on Wednesday because he got in foul trouble.

"The plan was to play him 18 to 22 minutes," Hollins said. "He hadn't played in 1 1/2 years, so I wanted to see his physical condition."

--F Rudy Gay had a strange game against the Clips. After going scoreless in the first half, Gay scored 21 points in the second half. He's averaging 27 points in two games this season against the Clippers.

--F Zach Randolph, who scored 21 points and added 8 rebounds, got his first dunk of the season on a nifty pass by Marc Gasol. Randolph laughed all the way down court after the dunk.

--C Hasheem Thabeet, who has a hairline jaw bone fracture, had one of his best games in the first few weeks of his rookie season. Thabeet had 4 points, 4 rebounds and a blocked shot.

"Look at the situation, where we are," Hollins said. "Do I play guys who really aren't the future? I decided he's (Thabeet) got to get out there and take his lumps."

MEDICAL WATCH:

--F Darrell Arthur is out for four months after surgery to repair a partially torn pectoral muscle.
